White bloc: Erbil meeting sides prepare 25 questions to investigate Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc revealed that “The political sides of Erbil meeting that call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, prepared 25 questions to investigate him the parliament.”

The spokesman of the bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmari, stated to IraqiNews.com “The sides that oppose Maliki, which involve the Iraqiya Slate, Sadr Trend and the Kurdistani Alliance, prepare a file for investigating Maliki includes 25 questions.”

“As a counter step, MPs within the State of Law Coalition prepared several files to be presented in case these sides investigate Maliki,” he added.

“The IS and the KA want an MP from Ahrar bloc to conduct the investigation with Maliki in order to avoid accusations over political sectarianism,” he mentioned.

“SLC has proofs including videos, pictures and sound tracks over critical corruption files that involve key officials,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffecient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
