White bloc: Welcoming Iraqi initiative over Syria assures resuming its vital role

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc assured that “Welcoming the Iraqi initiative, by Iran and Syria, to settle the crisis in Syria assured resuming Iraq’s vital role in the international and Arab communities.”

A statement by the Secretary General of the bloc, Jamal al-Bateikh cited on Saturday “Iraq, after resuming its international position, has to participate in making initiatives to all the crises of the Arab countries or the Middle East countries because it is a part of them.”

“At the current time, Iraq must release an initiative to settle the Syrian crisis,” he added, noting that “Welcoming the Iraqi initiative by Iran and Syria in addition to some other countries of the Non-Aligned Movement assured that Iraq has resumed its international and Arab position.”
