Will have my word on pact – Sistani

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: Imam of Najaf Friday prayers on Monday said that Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani stressed that he would say his word regarding the proposed Iraqi-U.S. security pact when the stance about it becomes clearer for Iraqi officials. “Sayyid Sistani would prohibit any damage to Iraq’s sovereignty,” Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qobanchi quoted Sistani as saying. “Currently the issue of this security agreement is totally left to Iraqi officials,” Qobanchi added.
