Yawar condemns Kurdistan Region’s violations to Nineveh lands
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ajil Humaidi al-Yawar, of the Justice and Reformation Movemnet condemned the violations of Kurdistan Region to the lands and wealth of Nineveh province.
In a press statement, Yawar said Wednesday “These violations clearly show the insistence of the government of Kurdistan Region to associate many lands of Nineveh province to Kurdistan Region and this is a dangerous issue that aims to steal the oil wealth of Nineveh,” calling the Peshmerga elements to “Withdraw immediately from the borders of Nineveh which are set before the 19th of March 2003.”
He denied reports over his refusal to sign the request of toppling Nineveh Governor, Athil al-Nijaifi, pointing out “This issue is related to the Justice and Reformation Movement and I am the only representative for the movement in the parliament.”
“This issue does not necessarily mean that I do not agree to topple any official in Nineveh or Iraq,” he added.
He confirmed that he “will not hesitate to sign the request if there are charges and evidences show that Nineveh governor has neglected his duties.”
