105 new greenhouses in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The process to construct 105 greenhouses in Diala has started, to fulfill the demand for vegetables, media manager of Diala agriculture directorate said on Monday. “The greenhouses will be constructed in al-Ghalbiya area, 12 km west of Baaquba city,” Ali al-Obaidi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project will cost a total of three billion Iraqi diners,” he said. “The greenhouses will be constructed over an area of 50 donums (1 donum = 2500 square meters),” he added. Engineer al-Obaidi pointed out that the expected productivity of the project is 10 tons per donum. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
