$16 billion investments in Kurdistan in 2008

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Head of the Kurdistan investment authority said on Friday that the investment in Kurdistan region in 2008 reaches $16 billion, half of them came from the GCC countries. “The total amount of investments in Iraq’s Kurdistan region in 2008 reached $16 billion, half of them from the private sector in the gulf countries, which announced their commitments to implement them in the coming years,” Heirsh Moharam Mohamed told IraqiNews.com news agency. “None of the gulf companies started to implement any projects in Kurdistan, including the UAE Damac real estate company which has the biggest real estate investment in the region with a total cost of $6 billion.
