1st integrated heat exchanger manufactured in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The state-run al-Faris Company has manufactured the first integrated heat exchanger in the country, the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals said on Sunday. “The total cost of the equipment is $129,059 U.S. dollars,” a media source from the ministry told IraqiNews.com news agency. Meanwhile, the company has signed two contracts with the water department, affiliated with the Ministry of Municipalities and Public Affairs, under which 20 water purification units with a capacity of 200 cubic meter/hour were manufactured at $2.4 million. The source added that 52 other units with a capacity of 50-240 cubic meter/hour were also manufactured. A heat exchanger is a device built for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another, whether the media are separated by a solid wall so that they never mix, or the media are in direct contact.
