2010 budget to support investment sector, says minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Finance Minister Baqer Jabr al-Zubaidi said on Wednesday that the 2010 budget will support the investment sector to improve the construction reality of the provinces, according to a ministry’s statement. “The minister held a meeting with British Ambassador in Baghdad Christopher Prentice, during which he asserted the 2010 budget will support the investment sector and will contribute in improving the constructional reality in Iraq,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The British companies’ investment in the Iraqi market will contribute also in encouraging other global companies to invest in the country,” the ambassador added. “The British diplomat reviewed Iraq’s excellent relations with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, mainly in training the Iraqi cadres,” he said.
