3 sports projects wrapped up in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Three sports projects have been carried out in Diwaniya province at a total cost of $847,800 as part of the 2007 reconstruction projects, a technical assistant to Diwaniya’s governor said on Sunday. “The projects include the construction of a sports club hall in downtown Diwaniya and two playgrounds in al-Shamiya and al-Hamzah districts,” Engineer Hazem Omran told IraqiNews.com news agency. Seven other sports projects were scheduled to be implemented under the 2008 provincial development plan, Omran noted. Diwaniya, the capital city of Diwaniya province, lies 180 km south of Baghdad.
