5 ambassadors, int’l companies discuss oil sector development

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Ambassadors of five countries and a group of international companies’ representatives held a meeting on Tuesday at the Basra International Airport with a number of local officials on the development of the oil sector in the province, a source from the local council said. “Ambassadors of the United States, Britain, Japan, Netherlands and Italy and representatives of a group of international companies discussed on Tuesday (May 25) with Chairman of the Basra Council, Jabbar Amin, and a number of the local council the development of the oil sector in the province,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting aimed at speeding up the development process of the oil sector and creating more job opportunities to citizens as well as discussing ways to overcome obstacles facing this sector,” he added.
