Anbar’s budget insufficient- deputy governor

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The deputy governor of Anbar on Saturday said that the budget allocated for the province is not enough to finance its service and building projects. “The budget earmarked this year for Anbar is 132 billion Iraqi dinars (nearly $111.9 million U.S. dollars),” Hikmat Jassem told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The province is facing a deficit of nearly ID 60 billion,” Jassem explained. The deputy governor added that the province is pinning its hopes on a decision by the finance minister that allocates part of border revenues to finance local projects. Ramadi, the capital city of Anbar province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
