Arbil (IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan Region witnesses, today, Sunday inaugurating the conference of energy to discuss the investment opportunities in Kurdistan Region.
IraqiNews.com correspondent cited that “About 20 oil companies, majority Turkish, specialized in energy field, participated in the conference which is held under the slogan “From Arbil to the world,” noting that “The conference was attended by the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz, the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region Nijervan Barzani, Nineveh Governor, Kirkuk Governor and representatives of the foreign consulates in Kurdistan Region.”
The correspondent added “The conference was not attended by any officials responsible for oil and energy file in the Iraqi Federal Government in Baghdad.”
The relations between the Central Government and Kurdistan Region witnesses escalation and aggravation over different files among them, the oil file, contracting with foreign companies file, the article (140) of the Constitution related to disputed areas in addition to other files.
