Arbil International Fair opened with 850 companies attendance

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The 7th session of the Arbil International Fair was opened in Arbil, the capital of northern Iraq’s Kurdistan Region on Monday, with the attendance of Kurdistan President, Massoud Barzani, its Prime Minister, Barham Salah, as well as 850 companies from 20 states. “The 7th session of Arbil International Fair is attended by 850 foreign companies, an evidance to their trust in the economic situation of Arbil Region,” Saleh said in his opening speech. “Beginning in 2005 up until now, the Kurdistan Region has witnessed about 50 international fairs.This is only further evidence of the economic developing now taking place in Iraqi Kurdistan,” Saleh said. For his part, the Director General of IFT Company, organizing the Fair, Antuane Aun, said that the “Exhibition had witnessed a major traticipation by international companies, specialized in transportation, health, education, construction, agriculture and trade.” Aun told IraqiNews.com news agency: “Each year we notice an increse in the number of companies, participatiting in the Fair, along with the areas covered by different companies, that increased by about 4,000 square meters this year, stretching over the Fair’s total area of 21,000 square meters, whilst its last year’s area had reached 17,000 square meters.” SKH (TP)/SR 50
