Baghdad to impose 10-25 thousand dinars entry fees on trucks entering the capital

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday, Baghdad Provincial Council announced, that it considers imposing entry fees estimated between 10 to 25 thousand dinars on the trucks entering Baghdad, while pointed out that these fees will be used for the maintenance of roads.

Member of the provincial council, Mohamed al-Rabei, said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The council considers imposing new entry fees between 10 to 25 thousand dinars on trucks entering Baghdad.”

He added, “Those fees will allow the council to provide maintenance to the roads that usually get damaged by the trucks.”

  1. Yes there should be fees imposed and the money used to repair roads that do become damaged from too many heavy trucks.
