Barzani sets corner stone for Dohuk International Airport

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nejirvan Barzani, with the presence of several Ministers as well as Parliament members and representatives of the foreign counters, set the corner stone of Dohuk International Airport project.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan quoted Barzani as saying during the ceremony of setting the corner stone that ”This project is so important because it will be an important factor in changing the economic situation not only in Dohuk province but all over the region.”

The statement added that ”This project is considered as a proof that the Region became independent since each province has its own Airport.”

The statement pointed out that ”This Airport will contribute in promoting the trade and tourism sector,” adding that ”The project will facilitate the communication between the Iraqi community abroad and their families in Kurdistan Region.” \
