BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The closure of the Basra Paper Factory is attributed to the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and not to the province’s local authority, Basra‘s governor said in a release on Monday. “News media outlets that mediated different images are propaganda tools for electoral purposes,” Gov. Shaltagh Abood said in the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Abood said that both he and the people of Basra reject such news. The oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad.
