Basra council head, Iranian consul tackle construction projects

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The head of the provincial council in Basra has met with the Iranian consul in the province to discuss the development of relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of construction, an official statement said on Wednesday. “The talks have tackled the possibility of benefiting from the experience of Iranian companies in the establishment of construction projects in the province,” according to a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Iranian official has invited the local authorities in the province to attend an exhibition held by Iranian firms in Basra. The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
