Brazil intends to appoint consul in Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Brazilian ambassador to Iraq, Anwer Nahas, expressed the desire of his country to appoint a Brazilian consul in Kurdistan Region.

The media office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The Brazilian ambassador to Iraq, Anwer Nahas, visited the foreign relations directorate and he was welcomed by the foreign relations director in Kurdistan Regional Government, Falah Mustafa.”

The statement added ”The Brazilian ambassador pointed out that there is a huge difference between the situation in Kurdistan Region and the rest of Iraq in terms of security and reconstruction.”

The statement continued saying ”The Brazilian ambassador confirmed the necessity to pay attention to the relations between Kurdistan Region and Brazil which likes to contribute in the markets of Kurdistan Region.”

The statement pointed out ”Falah welcomed this Brazilian initiative,” stressing ”The readiness of the foreign relations directorate to cooperate with Brazil and to provide all facilities to contribute in the development of the relations.” \
