British firm considers investment in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A British oil services company delegation on Tuesday discussed investment mechanisms in the southern province of Basra, the head of the investment commission in the province said. “The KBR delegation, led by the vice president of the company, Dawei Kirk, discussed investment mechanisms in the public oil sector and the establishment of projects in Khour al-Zubeir area, western Basra,” Haydar Ali Fadel told IraqiNews.com news agency. The commission has expressed its readiness to offer all facilities to ensure the success of the projects, Fadel pointed out. The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
