Canal finalized at ID8.2b in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Irrigation technicians in Missan on Friday finalized works to dig a canal in Missan at a total cost of 8.2 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), roughly $3.5 million, a local official said. “Engineers from the water resources ministry’s General Organization for the Implementation of Irrigation & Reclamation Projects finalized excavation works for the 32-km-long Kessiba irrigation canal 32 km east of al-Amara city,” Eng. Naji Jakhyour told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project falls within the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) projects for the year 2008,” he added.
