Cargo trains between al-Muthanna – Basra

AL-MUTHANNA / IraqiNews.com: The first two cargo train trips that consisted of 20 wagons each were launched from al-Muthanna to Basra, the manager of Samawa railway said on Saturday. “Each trip consisted of 10 wagons for seeds, while the other 10 were for gas-oil,” Engineer Ayad al-Azawi told IraqiNews.com. Samawa, the capital city of al-Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad, while the oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
