CBI’s dollar sales reach 131m on Tues.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) dollar sales rose to $131.900 million in its daily auction on Tuesday, compared to $97.510 million during the previous session. “The demand hit $3.835 million in cash and $128.065 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency. None of the 15 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. SS (P) 1
