Conference on investment opportunities in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An economic conference will be held in Basra next May with the participation of major Ukrainian investment companies to discuss investment opportunities in the city, the head of the businessmen union in Basra said on Friday. “The conference will be held next May in cooperation between Iraqi businessmen and representatives of seven Ukrainian companies to study the investment opportunities in Basra province,” Subeih Yussr al-Hashemi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Ukrainian companies which will visit Basra upon invitation from the businessmen union are specialized in heavy industries and power sectors,” he explained. “Most of the Ukrainian companies have a great interest in investing in Basra and establishing huge industrial projects,” the official also said.
