Dabbagh clarifies resolution to compensate farmers affected by floods and frost, in Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Spokesperson of the Government, Ali al-Dabbagh, clarified “The resolution issued by the Council of Ministers concerning compensating the farmers in Anbar province, by adding sums amounted to (IQD 14, 5) billion from the financial allocations of the emergency reserves of 2012.” Dabbagh stated “The Council of Ministers during its regular session held in June, 19, 2012, decided to compensate the farmers who were affected by the floods and frost fall on the greenhouses of the wheat and potatoes crops, by adding IQD 14, 573, 250, 000 from the financial allocations of the emergency reserves of 2012, according to provisions of (article five) of the federal annual budget (No. 22) for 2012.” “Anbar Governorate has submitted a request to the CoM in last March, 2012 demanding to compensate the farmers who were affected by the floods and frost fell on their greenhouses crops which resulted in wasting a large part of these crops,” the Spokesperson concluded.
