Deputy premier inaugurates 1st reconstruction conf.

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafeaa al-Eissawi arrived in Missan on Wednesday morning to inaugurate the first reconstruction conference, said the head of the reconstruction and development committee of the Missan provincial council. “The conference aims to highlight the recent achievements in the past three years regarding reconstruction projects in the province. It will also host talks with the heads of the provincial council’s committees and other senior officials in Missan,” Mouhan Mahi Shabib told IraqiNews.com. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SH (P) 1
