Direct purchase of foodstuffs by trade ministry canceled

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Economic Affairs Committee, headed by Deputy Premier Burham Salih, decided during its seventh meeting to prevent the trade ministry from making direct purchase of foodstuffs. “This decision will be valid permanently, unless there are some exceptional cases,” said a release issued by Salih’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “For exceptional cases, a case-by-case cabinet approval will be required,” it added.
