Dollar demand down in daily auction

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Demand for the dollar went down at the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) auction on Wednesday, registering more than $ 133 million compared to $211.670 million in the previous session. “The demand hit $39.625 million in cash, covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,181 Iraqi dinars and $93.850 million in foreign transfers outside the country covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,178 Iraqi dinars per dollar. None of the 15 banks that participated in today’s sessions offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. MH (P)/SR 1
