Dollar demand slightly up in daily auction

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Demand for the dollar went slightly up at the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) auction on Monday, registering $204.058 million compared to $91.950 million in the previous session. “The demand hit $53.385 million in cash, covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,181 Iraqi dinars and $150.700 million in foreign transfers outside the country covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,178 Iraqi dinars per dollar. None of the 14 banks that participated in today’s sessions offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. AmR (P) 1
