Dollar sales slightly down this week

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales dropped slightly in their daily auctions this week’s five sessions to reach $647.805 million at an exchange rate of 1,170 Iraqi dinars per dollar, compared to last week’s $653.545 million. This week’s cash sales went down to $18.410 million against $40.460 million last week at an exchange rate of 1,183 per dollar, including the CBI’s commission of 13 Iraqi dinars per each dollar. Foreign transfers went up also to $629.395 million this week against $613.085 million last week at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per each dollar, including the CBI’s commission of 3 Iraqi dinars per one dollar. None of the banks that participated in this week’s sessions offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. SH (P) 1
