Economic cooperation agreement between Kurdistan – Italian Veneto region

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com:  Kurdistan importers and exporters Federation signed a cooperation agreement with Italian Veneto chambers of commerce and industry federation, while an Italian source disclosed inviting representatives from 500 Kurdish companies.   In a press conference in Arbil, attended by IraqiNews.com, head of Kurdistan federation said that the region has about 6000 companies.   The Italian delegation praised the developments made in Kurdistan region.   The timing of the invitation was not decided.   Iraqi-Italian relations are on progress following the exchange of visits, as well as the relations with Kurdistan region, which witnessed the opening an Italian consulate in Arbil.   The Iraqi-Italian Economic Forum  was opened Monday with the participation of 40 Italian companies.   Volume trade between the two countries reaches 650 million dollars, with over 600 Italian companies working in Iraq.
