Eradicating violence stimulus to development- Maliki

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Saturday highlighted the fight against violence as a basic requirement for human development in the country. “Development requires further humanitarian assistance and the creation of several opportunities for Iraqis…,” Maliki said in a speech during a Baghdad-based ceremony to mark the launch of the National Report on Development, which was attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. The ceremony was organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Planning in coordination with Beit al-Hikma Organization. “The report stimulates the government to draw up strategies and to benefit from civil society organizations, which have contributed to the report,” Maliki added.
