Finance Ministry forms budget higher committee

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Finance Ministry on Monday said that it formed a higher committee to develop the bases for strategic preparation of the Iraq’s federal budget for 2010 and the coming years, relying on expanding rates within a midterm time frame. “The committee embraced representatives from the ministries of finance, oil, planning, trade, reconstruction and housing, industry, agriculture, and water resources, in addition to representatives from the council of ministers, the economic committee and the Central Bank of Iraq,” the ministry said in a release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “British and U.S. experts will contribute to the committee’s work,” it added.
