German company reviews investment opportunities in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Basra Governor, Sheltagh Abboud, discussed on Friday with a German company investment projects in agricultural and housing sectors, an official statement said. “The governor discussed on Friday (Jan. 15) with the general manager of the German al-Miaad company, Karim al-Yasseri, the investment opportunities in housing and agricultural sectors in Basra,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The German industry is well-known all over the world and several German companies seek to invest in our province,” the governor continued. “The local government seeks to improve the services sector in Basra and tries to rehabilitate the province’s infrastructure,” he added. “We seek to apply the twin agreement between Basra and Germany’s Stuttgart city,” the statement quoted al-Yasseri as saying. “The company will hold meeting with several ministries to win investment opportunities in the two sectors,” he added.
