ID2.6b medical equipment installed in Basra hospital

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The Basra Reconstruction Unit on Sunday finalized work on a project to install medical equipment and devices inside al-Mawani’e hospital in the province as part of the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) projects at a cost of 2.7 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), the unit chief said. “The project envisaged the installation of six renal dialysis equipment, four analysis devices and two radioactive leaking examination devices,” Ziad Ali Fadel told IraqiNews.com. “Works also included renovation of the site and the construction of waiting rooms and health utilities,” he said. Fadel noted that the project, which took three months, was carried out by a local company in Basra for the Basra Health Department. The oil-rich port city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
