ID466b to boost iron, steel production

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals has allocated 466 billion Iraqi dinars ($398.3 million U.S. dollars) to increase the State Company for Iron and Steel’s yearly production to one million ton, an official statement said on Sunday. “The allocations will be spent in three stages,” read the statement that was received by Iraqi News. The State Company for Iron and Steel has accomplished 95 percent of reconstruction works on a steel pipes factory in Umm Qasr district, Basra province, the statement added. SS (P) 1
