ID5b to reclaim 5,300 doums in Missan

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The water resources ministry on Sunday said that it finalized works to reclaim 5,300 donums of land as part of the Saad River project in the province of Missan at a total cost of 5.068 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), according to a ministry release. “Technicians from the ministry’s General Organization for Irrigation and Reclamation Projects have finished the reclamation of 5,300 donums of farmland,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. One Iraqi donum equals 2500 square meters. “Work will be underway to coat the branch canals and their feeders with all the necessary facilities,” the release added. MH (P) / SS 1
