THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation has allocated 76 billion Iraqi dinars (nearly $64.5 million U.S. dollars) in supplementary budget for Thi-Qar province, according to a local official. “The amount will be used to finance projects in the province,” a technical assistant to the chairman of Thi-Qar’s provincial council chief, Abdulhussein Hadi al-Sayyid, told Iraqi News. “Other projects in the sectors of education, energy, roads and health have been referred to the reconstruction team and will be financed by donor countries,” the assistant explained.
