Investment refinery in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Basra Investment Commission is currently examining a project proposed by a local investor to start setting up a refinery in the province, a senior official said on Wednesday. “The commission is ready to send such projects to the Oil Ministry,” Dr. Hayder Ali Fadhil, the commission’s director, told IraqiNews.com news agency on Wednesday. He said that the Ministry has made a preliminary approval regarding refinery projects. The oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad. MH (P)/SH 1
