Iran says ready for energy cooperation with Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iranian Minister of Energy Parviz Fattah on Wednesday said that his ministry is ready to provide support to the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and to increase its energy exports to Iraq. “Fattah expressed his ministry’s readiness to increase it energy exports to Iraq by installing a number of power transmission lines…,” according to an Iraqi Ministry of Electricity statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Fattah said that his ministry is following up on the establishment of Najaf’s natural gas station, al-Haydariya station, as well as two power transmission stations in Kufa and northern Karbala.
