Iraq is ready to sign MoU with Turkey – Minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq is ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turkey to support banks and strengthen economic ties with Turkey, the Iraqi Finance Minister Baqr al-Zubaidi said on Thursday. He said that the absence of banking cooperation between Baghdad and Ankara will weaken mutual economic coordination. This came in a meeting between Minister al-Zubaidi and a Turkish delegation of bankers, according to a release issued by the Iraqi Finance Ministry and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Finance Ministry is determined to activate the Iraqi-Turkish mutual cooperation,” the release quoted al-Zubaidi.
