(IraqiNews.com) The report of the Iraqi Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry revealed that ISIS imposed taxes on the population of the province of Nineveh, which has enabled it to collect revenues estimated to $11 million a month.

The report described ISIS elements as a mafia that manages organized crime and controls all the economic resources of the province, after creating a specific system for the collection of funds, and the imposition of certain tariffs on different social groups.

The report said, citing officials in the province, that at the beginning ISIS used to get $ 5 million a month from Nineveh province alone. Then latter doubled the figure and reached 11 million dollars a month.

The organization also earned a million dollars a month from the contractor of oil transfer from Baiji refinery to the province of Nineveh, and a similar amount from cement operators.
