ISX slightly down on Sunday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index slightly went down by 0.94 percent to close on 110.16 points during Sunday’s session. Traded shares in the session exceeded 1.288 billion at a total value of over 2.784 billion dinars (around $2.3 million) by implementing 445 contracts. Out of 68 companies, shares of 32 firms were traded in today’s session; 13 of them went up, and 13 went down, while six were able to preserve the same price. The banking sector achieved the highest number of trading shares with 84 percent, and the highest trading volume with 80 percent. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004. The stock market holds three sessions a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
