Karbala Electricity Dept. launches rehabilitating works on power grids

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The technical and engineering departments of the Electricity Directorate in al-Khayrat district of Karbala province launched a maintenance and rehabilitation campaign for the electricity grid there at a cost of IQD 660 million. The Media Director of al-Khayrat and Jadwal Gharbi districts, Waddah al-Yasiri said “The materials used in the project are purchased from the allocations of Developing Regions Programme for 2006 with a cost of IQD 660 million.” He added “The project covers 17 regions in the district,” noting that “The Electricity Directorate of Jadwal Gharbi has implemented many similar projects in different parts of the district during the first months of 2012.”
