 Kurdistan Region to stop oil exports in case dues of foreign Companies not paid by Federal Government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan Region insinuated “Stopping its oil exports by end of current August in case of the Federal Goverment do not pay the dues of the oil foreign companies working in Baghdad and Erbil, and to address problems related to the file of the oil and gas, the Government of oil in coordination with Baghdad since the beginning of the current month, through exporting quantities that reaches up to 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day.”

“But the Region will stop its oil exports if the Central Government do not pay the dues to oil companies operating in the region,” the statement added.

For his part, the Administrative Head of the Kinil Energy, Tony Hayward, in a letter to Horami pointed out that “His Company had not received its dues of oil exports for the period from 2009 to 2011 from Baghdad government, and this carries an outstanding impact on the company’s activities.”
