MoE approves increasing Wasit’s share of power

Wassit (IraqiNews.com) The head of Wassit Provincial Council Mahmoud Abdul Ridha Talal announced the approval of the Minister of Electricity Karim Aftan al-Jumaili to increase the share provided to Wassit province of electric power. IraqiNews.com correspondent quoted the head of Wassit PC as saying “The Minister approved increasing Wassit’s share of electric power supplied from the Iranian line from 200 MW to 300 by the beginning of next June.” Talal added “Wassit province needs 550 MW,” noting that “The electricity supplied by Iran through Maysan line is capable of reducing the citizens’ suffering from the long power off in Wassit province.”
