MP: Closing borders with Syria not to affect Iraq’s economy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee Abdul Abbas Shiya’ assured that “The closure of border crossings with Syria will not have a significant economic impact on Iraq.”

He said in a statement to IraqiNews.com “Since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, the trade weakened with it but with limited influence since Iraq does not depend on its exports through Syria to a large extent but it may be vice versa, since Syria depends on us in providing some exports.”
