Muthanna council approves 5-year plan at over ID820bn

MUTHANNA / IraqiNews.com: The provincial council in Muthanna province has approved 116 projects as part of a five-year plan at a total cost of over 820 billion Iraqi dinars. “Following a series of discussions that lasted two weeks, the council has approved a five-year plan that has been developed in light of proposals made by the local departments,” the chairman of the council, Abdullateef al-Hassani, told Iraqi News. “Most of the projects will be carried out in stages from 2010-2014,” Hassani noted. “The plan includes four railway projects at ID10.196 billion, 11 health projects at ID44.25 billion, six electricity projects at ID147.740 billion, and 13 projects for the police, traffic, civil defense and travel departments at ID18.550 billion,” Hassani explained.
