Nineveh official accuses PC of wating investment opportunity

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Member of Nineveh Provincial Council, Lamya al-Dabagh, blamed Nineveh provincial council for losing the investment opportunity from the petro-dollar income benefits.

Dabagh reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The provincial council insisted on rejection of negotiating with Kurdistan Regional Government concerning the Oil investment in the disputed areas in Nineveh province in order to force the Central Government to negotiate with the Region without notifying the local government in Nineveh province.”

She added that ”The decisions of Nineveh Provincial Council cost the people of Nineveh province opportunity for benefiting from the income of the petro-dollar program and the opportunities of employments.”

Dabagh continued saying that ”The council insisted not to negotiate with the region and the people of the province lost the opportunity when the central government ended its disputed with Kurdistan Regional Government.” \
