Ninewa to plant wheat, barley

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The head of the agriculture department in Ninewa said that a plan to grow wheat and barley in the province has been launched, adding that agricultural equipment has been distributed to local farmers for this purpose. “Wheat and barley crops will be grown during the agricultural season 2009-2010,” Jaafar Sadeeq Saeed told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A total of 4.5 million tons of wheat and barley will be grown all over the province during this season,” Saeed added.
