No production tax on local products – spokesperson

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi council of ministers on Tuesday approved a bill that ceases taxation on locally fabricated products, in order to protect those products, said the official spokesperson of the Iraqi government. “The proposed act states that any law that contradicts with this bill should be disregarded,” Ali al-Dabbagh told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Taxing will continue on locally produced beverages and cigarettes only,” he said.
